LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

I'M KATIE

Adventurous lifestyle & intimate wedding photographer based in Warsaw, Indiana. If you believe dogs can be your best friend, a glass (or two) of wine a day keeps the doctor away, and that Fleetwood Mac is one of the greatest bands of all time, we might just be best friends. Cheers!

I grew up on 18 acres of land in northern Indiana. I’ve always loved animals, art, and being outside.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an illustrator, to help bring stories to life.

That dream was left behind somewhere, and I eventually attended school for Landscape Architecture, which is heavily focused on design and storytelling (and creating illustrations).

I graduated from Ball State University with a Master of Landscape Architecture, and moved my little family across the country to Arizona. I practiced there for a year before my husband was deployed.

I realized fairly quickly how unhappy I was working in an office from 8-6 every day.

I decided to explore another storytelling career that would allow me to build my own business and dreams,

and spend time with my daughter. So here I am, back in northern Indiana, bringing your stories to life through photography.

Some things never change.

MY WHY?

With a background in Landscape Architecture, I am passionate about connecting people and places.

I believe we need to focus on fostering our relationships now more than ever, as we live in a world of increasing social disconnect.

I believe spending time experiencing + exploring nature also plays a major role in our happiness and our desire to be stewards of the environment.

These two elements come together in adventurous, natural light photography by encouraging people to connect on an emotional level while also connecting with their natural environments.

(I just want to throw it out there that I had my dragon tattoo before The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo existed.)

I’m glad you’re here. Let’s hang out.
