Jenn + Brian: Micro Wedding in Three Oaks, Michigan

Pandemic restrictions have allowed couples to have intimate, meaningful weddings.

This is true for Jenn & Brian, who initially planned to travel from their home in Los Angeles to celebrate their nuptials at Journeyman Distillery, near their vacation home in Three Oaks, Michigan.

When the pandemic continued to have a hold on the world throughout early summer, they made the decision to have a small, “micro” wedding at their home in Three Oaks.

The guest list was only 13 people long, including myself.

They originally planned to host a wedding with a large guest list (and they will still host it in 2021!). However, they mentioned that the tiny wedding felt more authentic to who they are as a couple.

Jenn & Brian hired White Dahlia Events to furnish their backyard with unique pieces for both the ceremony & the dinner. Journeyman Distillery allowed us to utilize their space for the “first look” moment & some bride and groom portraits. Her dress was custom-made by the online dress boutique Anomalie (it has pockets).

This wedding may have been tiny, but it was mighty. The simplicity was welcomed by all. Nothing felt forced.
